Our Thanks To...
We hardly know where to start with this one an enormous thank you to Trevor Laurence and Mick O'Hare of Volker Fitzpatrick and Chris Hatcher from KCC who have made us the most fabulous offer. They are landscaping the whole area between the barn and the house and making us:
- A flat safe play area that is properly drained.
- A walkway alongside the barn giving independent access to each teaching area.
- Full disabled access to the barn.
- A proper fire escape from the door at the end of the art room.
- A retaining wall to support the plinth for the oil tank and also the side wall of the barn.
Thank you so much to Trevor who read the newsletter and saw our appeal. He is giving up his weekends digging and relandscaping with mind-blowing precision and rapidity. Mick O'Hare as Project Manager for the road has given his blessing and come to see how things are progressing and Chris Hatcher who, as Community Liason Officer, for the road development has been so helpful to us on this and a number of other projects. Thank you again from all of us we have never received such an enormous gift or one at such a crucial moment.
Thank you to the families and staff who have contributed to our DIY days recently. A special mention for the Collerans who have really embodied the community ethos of the school and relaid the brick path beautifully while they were at it.
The lovely Carole Leonard and the University of Kent for an amazing contribution of furniture from their store which has enabled us to re-furbish two classrooms. Thank you so much for all your help. Photos will follow soon.
