The Reculver Ramble!

Our Key Stage 3 students took part in a walk from Minnis Bay to Reculver Towers, along the seafront path. The walk was enjoyed by all with many students completing the 6 Km walk in a very good time, especially considering the hot weather. The only thing which dampened spirits was the swarms of tiny beetles, which seemed particularly attracted to the staff’s hi-vis jackets.

These seemed to disappear by the afternoon though, and the students then spent their time on the playpark, picnicing on the lawns or searching for crabs and fossils on the beach under the Bishopstone Cliffs. Hard-earned cold drinks and ice creams also helped the students and staff cool down.
